Ants in your pants — or dare we say, your house? Here are some quick, cost-effective ways to keep those critters at bay!

Got those pesky ants invading your home this summer?
Don’t worry — here are some cost-effective ways to keep those critters at bay without using harsh chemicals! You might even have the solution sitting in your pantry.

  1. Peppermint Oil: Ants dislike its strong scent. Mix with water and spray around entry points and trails.
  2. Tea Tree Oil: Use as a spray or on cotton balls placed in ant-prone areas.
  3. Cinnamon: Use powder, sticks, or essential oil around entry points.
  4. Cayenne Pepper: Sprinkle cayenne pepper along ant trails or near entry areas to keep them away.
  5. Lemon Eucalyptus Oil (OLE): A natural ant repellent from eucalyptus trees.
  6. Lemon Juice: Apply directly to entry points or mix with water and spray.
  7. Lemon or Orange Peels: Place peels near ant trails or possible entry areas.
  8. Clean up spills and crumbs promptly, as they attract ants.
  9. Store food in airtight containers to keep ants out.
  10. Eliminate other food sources, like leftover crumbs or spilled liquids.

Stay strong — and may the ants not be with you!
